Six Sigma and DMAIC projects

A step by step approach to improve the process capability of a system.

The objective of Six Sigma is to reduce variability in product and service quality through an intensive, results-driven statistical approach.

It relies on the DMAIC model: DEFINE - MEASURE - ANALYSE - IMPROVE – CONTROL

By examining the variability of a process which leads to quality problems, Six Sigma can solve these problems through a team approach to projects and consistent use of statistical tools and problem-solving methodologies.

Productivity Europe has integrated Six Sigma into the Lean agenda because both approaches are complementary: Lean with the systematic approach and involvement of people in reducing leadtimes, productivity losses and costs and Six Sigma with a focused approach to reducing process variability.
